Ignition Warning Lamp

Battery

When this symbol lights up, your vehicle is warning you of an issue with the battery or charging system. Reduce the load on the electrical components by turning off non-essential accessories and having a Ford technician inspect the system as soon as possible.

Low Oil Pressure Warning Lamp

Engine Oil

This indicator means your engine’s oil level or pressure may not be where it should be. Pull over when safe and check the oil. If the light stays on after increasing the oil level, schedule a service appointment right away.

Engine or Motor Coolant Temperature

If this light comes on, your engine is running hotter than normal. Safely bring the vehicle to a stop, turn it off, and allow time for the engine to cool. Continued driving can result in serious damage.

Brake System Warning LampBrake System Indicator

Brake System Warning Lamp

An active brake warning light usually means the parking brake is still engaged. If the lamp stays lit after releasing it, your vehicle may be low on brake fluid or experiencing a braking system fault. Do not continue driving if this light remains active, as reduced braking performance can be dangerous.

Electric Park Brake

This warning flashes when the electric parking brake encounters a malfunction. Have the system inspected soon to prevent further issues.

Antilock Braking System Warning Lamp

Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)

An illuminated ABS light indicates the anti-lock function has shut off due to a detected issue. Your standard brakes will still operate, but the enhanced safety feature won’t engage during hard stops.

Stability Control

You’ll notice this icon blinking when the stability control system is actively helping maintain traction. If it stays on constantly (or fails to light up during startup), the system needs attention from a qualified Ford service professional.

Airbag

Front Airbag

If this alert doesn’t briefly illuminate at startup, or continues to flash afterward, the front airbag system may not deploy properly in a collision. Have this checked by a service technician right away.

Engine Warning Lamp

Check Engine

A steady glow typically points to an emissions-related concern, while a flashing light often signals an engine misfire. Either scenario requires a quick follow-up with a Ford service centre to prevent further complications.

Powertrain Fault

This symbol indicates your powertrain (often the AWD or 4WD system) has detected a malfunction. Avoid driving the vehicle until it has been evaluated by a Ford technician, as performance and control may be affected.

High Voltage Electric System Failure

Exclusive to hybrid and electric Ford models, this warning signifies a problem in the high-voltage system. The vehicle may limit power or shut down to protect itself. Have it inspected immediately.

Low Tire Pressure Indicator

Low Tire Pressure Warning

When this light appears, at least one tire is underinflated. Inflate your tires to the recommended pressure. If the light stays on afterward, a sensor issue or leak may be present and should be checked out by a Ford service centre.
